Amsterdam Lions Lacrosse was founded in 2004 as one of the first lacrosse clubs in the Netherlands. Our home base is Sportpark Middenmeer (Kruisweg 244, 1098 NJ Amsterdam), where we practice twice a week (Tuesdays and Fridays, 20:00 – 22:00). The games take place on Sundays (+- every other week).
Amsterdam Lions Lacrosse teams
We presently have two women’s teams, one men’s team, and one youth team. Although the club is also open to youth and adults, the club has a very present body of students and so the student spirit is still there! Besides playing lacrosse, many social activities are part of the Lion experience: post-practice-borrels, boat parties, dinner parties, BBQ’s – you name it. There’s a reason that the proverb states: ‘there’s no “I” in Lons’!
